What you wish for: Quick bite. Some familiarity.

What you will eat: Processed food. Local snacks.

Where: Conveniences store like Family mart, 7-Eleven, and such, dotting Taiwan.

What is bad: Slightly more costly.

2. Taiwan night market.

What you wish for: Quick bite. Wider choice of foods.

What you will eat: Local foods. Local taste.

Where: Nearest night market from your Taiwan place of stay.

What is bad: Night market may be a short bus ride or taxi trip away.

3. Restaurant in Taiwan hotel.

What you wish for: Easy availablity. Familiar eats somehow, as you can choose from the menu.

What you will eat: Eastern and western cuisine (or what the restaurant is serving). Local foods.

Where: Restaurant in the Taiwan hotel you are staying in.

What is bad: Hotel restaurant may be closed on your arrival. Or serve poor-tasting or limited foods!
